Hello, we are Katrin Schwarz & Andrea Keller
Katrin
My relationship with dogs has always been of central importance to me. While they were among my closest friends, companions, teachers and encouragers in my childhood and youth, dogs are now also my professional passion.
After my training at the Academy for Applied Animal Psychology and Animal Behaviour Training (ATN), I focused on individual training concepts for dogs with behavioural problems and ‘difficult furries’ in addition to everyday training.
A fair and respectful approach is particularly important to me in my work with dogs and people.
Andrea
Animals, especially dogs, paved the way for my current profession at an early age. Even as a child, I developed a natural understanding of dogs and their behaviour and was able to experience the profound bond and trust between humans and dogs.
The valuable experience I gained during my training in dog schools, animal shelters and boarding kennels still accompanies me today in my work as a dog trainer.
In my work, I also draw on the knowledge of the dynamics and complexity of dog groups that I gained during my training as a dog walker.
Mediating between dogs and humans is my passion and a matter close to my heart!
We are DOGtimist: fair, flexible, different.
In addition to competent support and assistance with
behavioural problems, we offer needs-oriented, species-appropriate dog training based on the latest scientific findings.
Our proven method does not follow a rigid concept. It is based on fair, needs-orientated training with no deliberate use of punitive or frightening stimuli and a holistic, individual approach to dogs, their people and the respective situation.
To this end, we are on the road in Spain, Germany and other parts of Europe, effectively helping dog-human teams to achieve a relaxed coexistence.
We deliberately organise our coaching sessions and training in small groups at different locations in the immediate vicinity of the dog.
This offers numerous advantages over a static dog park, especially when it comes to dog behaviour training and socialisation.
Our daily motivation is the joy that our non-violent training concepts increasingly lead to a better understanding between humans and dogs and thus bring about lasting positive change.
Our intensive work with animal welfare dogs, whose ‘baggage’ is often a challenge, is also very close to our hearts. Our holistic and solution-oriented intensive coaching, behavioural therapy, varied workshops, information events and much more open up new perspectives for dogs and humans to live happily together. Our special dog care rounds off our repertoire.
Through regular further training with leading experts in the fields of learning theory and dog behaviour, additional qualifications in the Tellington TTouch® and animal communication seminars as well as selected collaborations, we guarantee and combine a broad spectrum of dog-related services.
By providing proof of expertise in accordance with the German Animal Welfare Act to the competent veterinary authority, we are authorised to train dogs commercially for third parties or to instruct the training of dogs by the animal owner in accordance with Section 11 (1) No. 8f TierSchG.
